Welcome to my blog!
Knowledge is to be shared, so if I can share something to help someone, then I’m helping to spread blessings into the world. I will be sharing lots of spiritual information, websites, experiences, advice and whatever else I can supply on a monthly basis (that’s my intention), to be of service to everyone. So, please enjoy and may you find the guidance and answers you are looking for.
Gratefully Yours, Donna
AUGUST ASTROLOGICAL ENERGIES
Jupiter in Leo (July 2014 to August 2015) and Business/Career For greater success in your career or business, be proud, confident, generous, and above-board in your professional dealings. Don’t be petty and always choose to take the high road. Generosity can be show through offering special sales, making customers feel special and unique, and giving to charities. This is not about underselling yourself, but rather giving more, whether through charities, special sales, and free information. Don’t finger the competition – compete only by being the best you can be. In career, invest in your personality and uniqueness. Dare to be confident. With Jupiter in Leo trine Uranus in Aries, this is a time for standing out in a classy way, appealing to freedom and independence, selling products and images that are boldly self-serving, colorful, and daring.
Jupiter in Leo (July 2014 to August 2015) and Relationships/Love For greater success in love and relationship while Jupiter transits Leo, be attentive, romantic, loving, and proud, but at the same time allow for freedom – don’t stifle. It’s fine to admit jealous feelings, but jealous antics and acts should be avoided. Avoid pettiness and undercutting the “competition” – simply be the best you can be. Romance is big during this cycle, and romantic overtures can be over the top and still appreciated. Dare to be confident.
Venus will turn retrograde (Jul 26 – Sep 6), coinciding with a major influx of Relationship Ripples – from old haunts, to current ghouls, the ones that got away to the ones you ran away from. Love (Venus) must now confront her own shadow-self – narcissism, manipulation, selfishness and criticism /the need for Perfection – since she begins her retro in detail-driven-Virgo.
Look up and you’ve no doubt seen her shining BRIGHTLY above us, as she paired with Jupiter. Financial matters (also Venus) are re-examined – from spending habits, to credit cards, bank accounts and the possible pursuit of luxury and ‘things’ to fill a void in our sense of self-worth (another Venus attribute). Are we living beyond our means Or way under our full potential?
Venus is currently at the final degree of Leo – the pursuit of personal pleasure is necessary. So does creativity in all it’s forms: music, art, theatre, dance, childhood freedom. Find a way to express what is in your Heart now, while you still can.
For without the strong self-pride we learn while Venus passes through Leo, we pass insecurely and uncertainly under Venus’ Virgo critical eye.
Did you know the astrology zone for the month you get married in says a lot about your relationship?
Commandments to cultivate Happiness
These four fundamental elements I would call my “4 Commandments” are the Four Pillars of a successful life to me:
1st Commandment: Cultivate the small pleasures of life
The pleasure derived from eating when you are hungry, from drinking when you are thirsty, from sleeping when you are tired.
The pleasure derived from seeing a friend, embracing a parent, seeing the sun break through the clouds or feeling the rain cool a hot summer day…
2nd Commandment: Learn or learn again how to love yourself
Stop blaming yourself, feeling guilty, depreciating yourself; learn that you are – for yourself – the most wonderful being that exists and that will ever exist.
You also have to understand that you are your own worst enemy when you stand in front of the mirror of Happiness.
3rd Commandment: Experiencing every joyful moment as intensely as possible
Seize the moment when you feel joy. Imagine that it lasts an eternity and let it in because everything has an end. But tell yourself that sorrow, just like joy, will sooner or later come to an end. It will get bored of accompanying you and will leave for another destiny.
4th Commandment: Nothing happens by chance
You have to understand that nothing that comes your way (whether joy or sorrow) does so because you have attracted it to you to gain some experience of life before the eternal. Remember that everything is fleeting, impermanent and temporary only for you to get closer to the eternity of the divine.
Establishing these Four Commandments as principles of life means making them the Four Pillars of a Temple inside which you can now put the following “rituals of life” into practice. They are simple but effective, and they will lead you to “experience Happiness on a daily basis”.
